The Ambassador of Loneliness
“Dead to the world, but no funeral, no candles, no flowers & no mural only a cremation of the world I once knew.”
—E. Bassey
Upsets & Letdowns
In a sense life is like a series of memories grouped together. Throughout our existence we all have positive and negative experiences. One day I was thinking to myself, “new memories somewhat replace old ones.” I highly doubt that I’m the only person to ever have had this notion. You can’t really remove your recollections, but merely suppress them. Therefore, the more good memories we have, the more likely they’ll substitute for the bad ones. By creating better memories, the “upsets and letdowns” of our pasts become less predominant.
Inky Verses and Polished Hearses
A conversation with a friend inspired E. Bassey to pen this book. In this publication, he blends two writing techniques, poetry and storytelling. This title is a hybrid of the two aforementioned styles of literature. In addition, these writings are uniquely governed by a theme of horror. Each poem is a different tale that centers on a character or characters. This piece of work is innovative, refreshing and intricate.
Inky Verses and Polished Hearses truly showcases E. Bassey´s appreciation for art and entertainment.
A Million to One
With no wife, no job and seemingly no hope, Joel Crope appears to be at his wit’s end. All he has to look forward to in the world is his daughter, his best friend and a harebrained scheme that is insane enough to possibly work. If things go wrong he could lose his freedom. However if everything goes according to plan he could construct a beautiful situation for his child and possibly himself.
Witness Joel Crope as he “risks” his life in an attempt to secure his daughter’s future, although the odds are A Million to One.
Quarts of Thoughts
E. Bassey has written five books and this is his third collection of poetry. After completion of his previous works, he returned to his roots and decided to release another book of rhymes. Unlike his other two poetry publications which had a central theme, Quarts of Thoughts is more casual and lyrical.
Lawless Victory
When a young man’s life is at risk he may resort to desperate measures to try and save it. Accompany Cecil S. Wellington as he embarks on an expedition filled with disenchantment, love, camaraderie, regret, atonement and loss. Feel and see where his journey takes him as he inadvertently attains a Lawless Victory.
For Better or For Worse
Nearly all human beings declare a deep affection for their significant consort. Although an entirely further crucial inquiry is what would you carry out for the individual you are devoted to? Would you risk a life or your freedom? Would you go against your own morals and ethics? Would you lie to them or withhold serious information? In this brief narrative, E. Bassey explores these notions and asks the question, what do you consider For Better or For Worse?
